Adding a menu

Updated yesterday

Menu let you create clickable “chapters” for your Story, so learners can quickly jump to key moments without scrubbing through the whole flow. It also gives a better overview of what will be covered in the Story.

Let me show you how to set this up.

Before you start

Menu work best when you’ve already built a few nodes you want learners to jump between.

1) Create a menu point from a node

  1. In your nodemap, click the node you want learners to be able to jump to. Meaning the node you would like to have as a menu point.

  2. In the node toolbar, select Make Menu Point.

Once you do this, that node becomes a destination in your menu.

2) Check and manage your menu points list

  1. Open the Menu points panel (the list icon in the bottom toolbar).

  2. Review the nodes you’ve added as menu points.

From here, you can:

  • Rename a menu point.

  • Remove a menu point

  • Rearrange the menu points

  • Lock and unlock menu points

3) See how it looks for learners

To preview the menu you have two option:

  1. Open the menu list on the node map, and click the eye to preview

2. Or publish the Story, and preview it from the Player URL
