Skills are a powerful tool for guiding learners, providing feedback, and enhancing your Story. They act like learning goals, gamifying your Story by giving learners a score based on their actions.
Here is how you add skills:
Activate skills
1. Click Skills in the top bar while editing your Story (1).
2. Toggle on Skill Explorer (2).
Add your skills
3. Define the skills relevant to your Story. For example, if your Story focuses on leadership training, you might include skills like "clear communication" or "empathy."
4. Add additional skills by clicking the plus icon at the bottom of the page (3).
5. For customized feedback, toggle on Display Skill Consequence. Write the specific feedback learners will see:
Assigning skills to response nodes
6. Go back to your node map and add your response nodes.
7. Click Edit on a response node to assign skills.
8. Select the relevant skills for that response node.
9. Set the scoring level:
Use red (-100) for negative actions or outcomes.
Use green (+100) for positive actions or outcomes.
10. Optionally, toggle on Show Effect After Answered to give learners immediate feedback.

Indicate whether the learner has succeeded or failed.
Provide custom feedback tailored to their performance.
