Script Assistant helps you create immersive learning experiences faster by generating a first draft based on your ideas or existing training materials. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, you can describe what you want to teach, upload supporting resources, and let AI build the initial We Are Story structure for you.
Once your Story has been generated, everything remains fully editable, giving you complete control over the final result.
When should I use Script Assistant?
Script Assistant is ideal when you:
Have an idea for a course but don't know where to start.
Want to turn existing PowerPoints, PDFs, or documents into interactive, immersive training.
Need to create a first draft quickly.
Want help structuring scenarios, dialogue, quizzes, and learner interactions.
If you already know exactly how you want to build your Story, you can still create it manually from scratch.
Creating a Story with Script Assistant
To get started:
Navigate to Stories.
Select Create Story.
Choose Script Assistant.
You'll first be asked to describe the Story you'd like to create.
For example:
Create a scenario-based onboarding course for new warehouse employees covering forklift safety.
You can be as brief or as detailed as you'd like. Generally, the more context you provide, the better the generated Story will be.
Upload existing training materials
You don't have to rely solely on a text prompt.
Script Assistant also allows you to upload supporting resources, including:
PowerPoint presentations
PDF documents
Training manuals
Standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Other reference materials
The AI uses these resources alongside your prompt to generate a Story that reflects your existing content.
Answering the AI's questions
Before generating your Story, Script Assistant will ask a series of questions to better understand your training.
These may include:
Who are the learners?
What is the learning objective?
How long should the course be?
What teaching style would you like to use?
Think of this conversation as helping the AI build the instructional design before writing the Story itself.
If you don't like one of the suggestions, simply tell the AI. You can refine its recommendations until you're happy with the overall approach.
Generating your Story
Once you've confirmed the learning approach, Script Assistant will generate a complete Story draft.
Depending on your prompt, this may include:
Poster nodes
Dialogue nodes
Response nodes
Quiz nodes
You'll first be shown an outline of the generated Story, allowing you to review the content before creating it.
Reviewing and refining the draft
Before generating the Story, you can ask Script Assistant to make changes.
For example, you might ask it to:
Shorten the dialogue
Add more learner interactions
Include additional quiz questions
Create more Response nodes
Make the language more conversational
Adjust the difficulty level
You can give feedback on individual sections or on the Story as a whole.
Editing after generation
Once the Story has been created, it behaves exactly like any other Story in We Are Learning.
You can:
Edit dialogue
Add or remove nodes
Rearrange the Story flow
Change characters and locations
Add media
Modify quizzes and responses
Nothing generated by Script Assistant is permanent—you remain in full control.
Best practices
To get the best results:
Be specific about your audience.
Clearly describe the learning objective.
Upload existing resources whenever possible.
Mention the type of interaction you'd like, such as quizzes or Response nodes.
Treat the AI-generated Story as a first draft, not the finished product.
Example prompts
Starting from an idea
Create a scenario-based course for newly hired nurses on recognising signs of patient deterioration and escalating concerns appropriately.
Using existing content
Using the uploaded PowerPoint and safety checklist, create an interactive refresher course on forklift safety for experienced warehouse employees.
Focusing on interaction
Create a customer service training module with dialogue, Response nodes after each scenario, and a short quiz at the end.
Tips
Script Assistant understands We Are Learning terminology, including Dialogue, Response, Poster, and Quiz nodes.
You can ask the AI to include specific node types in your Story.
If the first draft isn't quite right, continue the conversation and refine it before generating the Story.
Script Assistant is designed to save time by creating the first draft of your Story, allowing you to focus on refining the learning experience rather than starting from scratch.
