Creating your first Story in We Are is easy. Start by selecting New Story in the upper-right corner of your dashboard.
From there, you can choose between three different ways to get started:
1. Start from scratch
Already have a script or know exactly how you want your Story to unfold? Choose Create from scratch.
You'll start with a blank Node Map, giving you full control over the structure and content of your Story. Add and connect nodes, create dialogue and interactions, choose your Characters and location, and build the experience exactly the way you want it.
This option is perfect for creators who want to manage every detail of their production.
2. Create with AI Script Assistant
Want to speed up Story creation or get some help developing your script? Choose AI Script Assistant.
Start by describing what you want to create. You can also upload existing resources such as PowerPoints, PDFs, training manuals, SOPs, or other learning materials.
Script Assistant then guides you through three steps:
Step 1: Story Framework
Define the foundation of your Story, including your learners, learning objectives, length, and approach. AI helps you shape a framework before moving on to the actual script.
Step 2: Script
Based on your Story Framework and any resources you've provided, AI creates a script for your Story. You can review the script and continue working with AI to fine-tune it — for example, by changing the tone, shortening dialogue, or adjusting the content and interactions.
Step 3: Generate Story
Once you're happy with your script, generate your Story. It will be created in the Node Map, where you can make your final edits, customize the experience, and get it ready for publishing.
3. Turn Your Slides into a Story
Already have a presentation you'd like to reuse? Choose Turn Your Slides into a Story.
Simply save your Google Slides, Keynote, or PowerPoint presentation as a PDF and upload it to We Are. Then choose your location and Characters, and We Are will convert your presentation into a Story.
Once your Story has been created, you'll arrive in the Node Map where you can edit and customize it before sharing.
Which option should I choose?
Create from scratch → You know what you want to build and want full control.
AI Script Assistant → You have an idea or existing learning material and want AI to help you structure and create the Story.
Turn Your Slides into a Story → You already have a presentation and want to quickly convert it into a Story.
Whichever option you choose, you'll end up with a fully editable We Are Story that you can customize before publishing and sharing.
