Body language sets the tone for your animation and conveys your Character’s emotional state. Is your Character feeling down, excited, or perhaps calm and present? Choose the ideal body language, or even mix a few, to quickly bring your Characters to life in your Story.
How to add body language to your animation
Click the blue box with the plus icon on the left to explore a variety of body language options
Then try experimenting with dynamic styles such as feminine or masculine (weight shift), or actions like explaining or presenting. Once you find the perfect match, click Apply to add it to your timeline.
After adding the body language, double-click the blue bar in the timeline to adjust facial expressions and where the Character is looking.
🦸🏽♀️ Pro tip: mix and match body languages
You can make your Character’s movements even more engaging by using multiple body language styles within a single node. To do this, double-click the blue bar and split it to add different styles in one scene.
