Introduction
Integrating We Are Learning with Motimate allows you to seamlessly incorporate engaging stories into your Motis. In this step-by-step guide, we will walk you through the process of setting up this integration for a more interactive learning experience.
Step 1: Obtain API Key from Motimate
Reach out to your Motimate contact person or send an email to [email protected] to request your API key. The API key acts as your access password for connecting your Motimate account with external integrations. It will look something like this: NGQ1MDgwOWIyYTZhM***.
Step 2: Add the API Key to We Are Learning
Log in to your We Are Learning account.
Navigate to the Settings section of your account.
Click on "New Integration."
You need to be an Admin of the account to add integrations.
Select "Motimate" as your integration type.
Paste the API key provided by Motimate support into the designated field.
The default API URL should be automatically populated.
Don't forget to enable the integration.
Step 3: Publish Your Simulation
Create or access the simulation you want to use in a Moti.
Click on the "Publish" button.
Choose "Share via Integration" and select "Motimate" as the integration option.
Copy the generated URL, which should look like this: "https://play.wearelearning.io/***."
Step 4: Create an Event Block in Motimate
Open Motimate and create a new block.
Choose the "Event" block type to add interactivity to your course.
Step 5: Provide Simulation Identifiers
In the Event block settings, provide a title and description for your simulation.
In the "Registration form URL" field, paste the simulation URL copied in Step 3.
In the "Event identifier" field, copy and paste the last characters of the simulation URL. This should be in the form of "pABnWAD."
Please note that the thumbnail for your simulation will not be populated automatically (at least not yet).
It should now look a little bit like this.
