Article covering how to record or upload custom audio in the timeline editor

Recording audio

Sometimes it can be better and more engaging to use your own audio recordings for Stories. Especially if your Story contains many complex words or abbreviations that can be hard for the Text-to-speech (TTS) to pronounce.

You can record your own voice lines for your stories in the Timeline editor.

The top Blue bar in the timeline editor represents the voice of the selected character.

By clicking the speech icon on the left side of the timeline you will be presented with an audio overlay that looks like this:

Here you can quickly record your own audio by clicking the red record button or uploading your own audio files. After recording you will be able to listen to and review your recorded audio and apply the generated text to the node.

Supported audio file formats are: MP3, WAV, OGG and M4A
