What is a page node

How to create and edit a page node

Pages (also known as a Page node) lets you bring different types of content together in one scrollable page. Use blocks to add and arrange text, media, buttons, callouts, dividers, and spacing to create clear, engaging content.

You will find the page node in the node menu, called Pages.

In your node map, open the node menu and select Pages. Select the node, then select Edit. Select Add a block.

Adding a block

  1. Open your page node and choose Add a block.

  2. Select the type of block you want to add: Text, Media, Button, Spacer, Divider, or Callout.

You can use multiple blocks on the same page to build the layout you need.

Text

Use a Text block to add written content to your page. This is useful for explanations, instructions, introductions, or any other information you want learners to read.

How to use it

  1. Choose Text from the block menu.

  2. Add the text you want to show on the page.

  3. Continue editing the block until the content looks the way you want.

Media

Use a Media block to add visual content to your page.

How to use it

  1. Choose Media from the block menu.

  2. Add the media you want to display.

  3. Adjust the media to fit your page. You can crop it to control which part of the image is visible.

Button

Use a Button block when you want to give learners something they can select or interact with.

How to use it

  1. Choose Button from the block menu.

  2. Set up the button with the content and action you want it to use.

  3. Check how it appears on the page before continuing.

Spacer

Use a Spacer block to add extra space between other blocks. This can make your page feel less crowded and help separate different parts of the content.

How to use it

  1. Choose Spacer from the block menu.

  2. Place it between the blocks you want to separate.

Divider

Use a Divider block to create a visible separation between sections of your page.

It can be helpful when your page contains different topics or groups of information.

How to use it

  1. Choose Divider from the block menu.

  2. Add it where you want one section of content to end and another to begin.

Callout

Use a Callout block to make important information stand out from the rest of the page.

This can work well for reminders, key information, or something you particularly want the learner to notice.

How to use it

  1. Choose Callout from the block menu.

  2. Add the information you want to highlight.

  3. Review how the callout appears alongside the other content on your page.

Building your page

You can combine different block types to create the page you need. For example, you could start with a Text block, add Media underneath it, use a Divider to separate the next section, and finish with a Callout or Button.

Try to keep each page focused and use spacing and dividers to make longer pages easier to follow.

What is the difference between Pages and Poster nodes?

Pages and Poster nodes are both used to present information in your Story, but they serve different purposes.

Pages is a scrollable format designed for longer content. You can design and structure the page yourself, making it ideal for detailed explanations and information that needs more space.

Poster nodes are designed for short, visual content. You can combine brief text with images and video in a simple, poster-style layout. Perfect for highlighting key messages or sharing information quickly.

Which one should I use?

  • Use Pages for longer content, scrolling, and more design flexibility.

  • Use Poster nodes for short messages, simple layouts, and quick visual presentations.
